My brother lives in Missouri and on one of my visits, he and his family took me to this wonderful preserve near the funeral home where we had been making arrangements after our mother�s passing. We needed the break and were all calmed and comforted by the beauty of the natural surroundings. We saw deer and wild turkey on our wordless walk. On our return we walked by this body of water as the sun was nearing the horizon. We were in shade, but the trees across the pond were gloriously capturing those last rays of light. I had heard that the name for the prayers at this time of the evening in liturgical churches were called Vespers or Evensong. How appropriate, evening prayers in God's outdoor cathedral. It seemed as if the LORD was ministering to our aching hearts through this gentle passage giving us hope.
