Picasso said that “Painting is just another way of keeping a diary.” For Karen, this is true. What you are seeing is a partial glimpse of her life’s journey. Karen Faire is an author and an award winning artist living in Fairhope, Alabama with Shane, her husband of 33 years. Before their marriage, she worked in the custom automotive industry painting airbrush murals on vans, cars, boats, motorcycles, and “anything that moved.” She fell in love with color and had an epiphany: “I thought that the only way to improve the color that I was working with would be to have light coming through it.” She knew immediately what her next medium would be: glass!
